  • 10 -12 hours per day/ six days per week (this includes class time)

  • Take a 10 to 15 minute break every 45 - 60 minutes.

  • Take a 1.5 hour break after every 3-4 hours of study.

  • Take a 2-3 hour break each day.

  • Practice exams during your "Best Time" for studying. Everyone has high and low periods of attention and concentration. Use your best times for practicing exams; use the down times for routines.

  • Study in shorter time blocks with short breaks between. This keeps you from getting fatigued and "wasting time." This type of studying is efficient because while you are taking a break, the brain is still processing the information.

  • Reduce distractions which can "waste time."

  • Make sure you have time to sleep and eat properly. If you deprive yourself of sleep you won't last the entire three and one half months.

  • Combine Activities. If you are washing clothes, review your flash cards.

  • Let some things go. The stove can wait until after the bar to be cleaned (unless of course you are doing it to relax).
