What to do Before the end of Classes
  • Bring outlines up-to-date
  • Finish developing terminology flashcards

What to after Classes end during the primary study period

  • Spend no more than 2 time slots (6 hours)
    • bringing your outline up-to-date
    • Condensing your outline to 10 pages
    • Developing a 1 page  Issue outline of key terms  which you will memorize
  • During each time slot practice at least twice writing down as many of the terms on your issue outline
  •  Primary activity during the remainder of time - Practice commercial flashcards, hypothetical
  • Additional Advice.

  1. each square represents a 3 hour study block. This is concentrated study time. Except for 10 minute breaks every 50 minutes, you should be seriously committed to studying
  2. Start by completing the dates. You should switch from semester exam - preparation to immediate exam preparation about 2 weeks before the last day of class.
  3. That is at least one weekend day and every weekday from 8pm to 11pm should be dedicated to intense exam preparation.
  4. Put in "Last Class" at the 2pm time slot of the last day of class.
  5. Put  Ex plus name of exam at the closet time slot on the day of the exam. For instance if your contract exam is at 1pm on May 1st put "ExContract" at the 2pm time slot
  6. In the immediate time slot after each exam write "Rest". It is important that you take rest time between each exam.
  7. Count the total of number of time slots including the exam slots and the rest slots from the beginning of your exam study period till the last exam.  For instance, in this chart the available time slots from April 13 through May 11 is 28.

  8. Determine the number of credit hours per course.

  9.  Calculate the number of time slots per credit hour by dividing total credit hours into total number of time slots.

  10. Calculate the number of time slots per course by multiply time slots per credit hour by total credit hour for each course. Add extra times slots where appropriate

  11. The key is to first allocate as many slots as possible immediately before the exam. Count both the exam time and the rest period immediately afterward as a part of the course time's slot. Schedule extra study time in continuous blocks.
